PHILADELPHIA – September 6, 2023 – The Give Us A Shot Network today announced the upcoming launch of “Protect Our Queens,” an exciting podcast dedicated to celebrating and promoting women’s basketball. Premiering Tuesday, September 12, the show will captivate fans and viewers with its engaging discussions, comprehensive game coverage and inspiring stories of these women on and off the court. Episodes will stream live at 7 p.m. each week on the Give Us A Shot Network YouTube channel and will be available everywhere podcasts are heard following the stream.
Hosted by the dynamic duo of Dwayne Marcus, host of “G.O.A.T. Talk with Marcus presented by the Give Us A Shot Network,” and Martin Soaries, the founder of Basketball Society, “Protect Our Queens” will feature special guest, five-star basketball prospect, Kiyomi McMiller on its debut episode. McMiller, also known as “The Product,” is widely regarded as one of the most dynamic players in the country with ESPN ranking her among the top players in the Class of 2024. Making history this year, Kiyomi became the first high school athlete to sign an NIL deal with Jordan Brand, further solidifying her exceptional talent and marketability.
“Protect Our Queens” will combine game highlights, analysis and in-depth guest interviews with stories of the incredible skills, determination and achievements of women in basketball. The show’s goal is to help foster greater appreciation and support for the game and shed light on the remarkable athletes from across the WNBA, college basketball and grassroots programs.
“Protect Our Queens” will be distributed and co-produced by the Give Us A Shot Network which will provide a platform for women’s basketball to shine. Tune-in weekly as the hosts embark on a thrilling adventure to help protect and empower these queens on and off the court.
