Another year, another heartbreak. The Buffalo Bills have once again fallen short, losing 29-32 to the Kansas City Chiefs. The cycle repeats: missed opportunities, costly mistakes, and a head coach who seems incapable of pushing this team past its ceiling. At what point does this franchise stop settling for “almost good enough” and start demanding actual greatness?
Sean McDermott, you are DOG$#!*
Point blank. Period. 💩
Listen, credit where it’s due. He broke the drought, won five straight AFC East titles, and ended a 17-year playoff drought. But his inability to reach the Super Bowl and his repeated losses to Andy Reid and the Kansas City Chiefs? That cannot be ignored.
And here’s the problem—Bills fans act like breaking the drought is the pinnacle of success. News flash: It’s not. Josh Allen is the reason this team is even relevant. Been saying it for years. McDermott is supposed to be a defensive-minded coach, right? Then why is it that every single playoff run, it’s the defense that folds? Every. Single. Year.
Let’s talk specifics. The Ravens game? The Bills won, but let’s be real—it was more about Baltimore collapsing than Buffalo asserting dominance. Then, this week against the Chiefs? From start to finish, this defense got picked apart. Wide open receivers in the flats, broken coverages, soft coverage in crucial moments. Kaiir Elam? Trash. Why is he even on the field? Injuries or not, this defense was supposed to be McDermott’s bread and butter, and yet here we are—AGAIN—talking about how they failed when it mattered most.
And then, the refs.
Oh, we have to talk about the refs.

That Xavier Worthy “catch”? Are you kidding me? Ball clearly hit the ground. No possession. But somehow, they reviewed it and still called it a catch. Game-changing call. That, plus the botched fourth-and-inches call, plus all the questionable spots?
It’s not a conspiracy theory if there’s data backing it up.
The Chiefs have gotten 90% of favorable calls in the playoffs since their win streak started. That’s a fact. Chiefs fans, argue with the stats, not with me.
It’s exhausting. Buffalo is wasting Josh Allen’s prime. You’ve got a top-three quarterback, and you can’t even get him the support he needs. Where was James Cook on that final drive? Why is this team allergic to going all in? Other teams make bold moves—why haven’t the Bills traded for elite defensive talent? Where’s the Miles Garrett? Where’s the Maxx Crosby?
Here’s the reality: either McDermott has to go, or Josh Allen has to go somewhere that actually knows how to win. And honestly? Seeing Josh Allen win a Super Bowl somewhere else would be better than watching McDermott stay and continue to waste his career.
It would hurt to see Allen in another jersey, but at this point, it’s about principle. The Bills have hit their ceiling with McDermott. He’s Marty Schottenheimer 2.0. Regular season wins mean nothing if you can’t get past the same playoff hurdle every year.
Either change happens now, or this same conversation will happen next year. Again. And again. And again.
Buffalo, wake up.
